The Herald Sun has confirmed that the Essendon Football Club has made contact with reigning SANFL premiers, West Adelaide about signing potential top-up players.
Former Brisbane Lions midfielder Zac O'Brien recently signed for the club to play in 2016, but a host of former AFL footballers, who have made a name for themselves at the "Bloods" may have also caught the eye of Bomber recruiters.
O'Brien did also feature at the Bombers before being drafted to the Brisbane Lions, playing two years on the club's VFL list.
Former Hawthorn midfielder Travis Tuck has been at the Bloods for a number of years now, since he was de-registered from recording his third strike for illicit drugs while at the Hawks.
Former Collingwood big man Trent Stubbs has also endured a couple of good seasons at West Adelaide and may potentially be an option for the Bombers this season.
A few more familiar names at West Adelaide:
- Taite Silverlock (Former Bomber)
- Brad Helbig (Former Tiger)
- Adam Hartlett (Former Blue)
- Jason Porplyzia (Former Crow)
