Essendon has moved to give young rising star Darcy Parish a fresh new contract extension after his stellar start to his young career. 

Parish's current contract does not finish until the end of next season, but afl.com.au believes that the club has started discussing his long term future already, with a new deal on the horizon.

The exciting young 18 year old arrived at the club with pick five in last year's draft, the Bombers earliest selection since defender Michael Hurley in 2009. 

The Bombers are starting to lock away their future with Kyle Langford signing a two year deal earlier this month, as well as Patrick Ambrose who is rumoured to have received a one year deal after his good month as a defender.

The club is keen to lock away exciting midfield/forward Jayden Laverde will talks to begin sooner rather than later.
