There was wild speculation that the Bombers would trade their pick one to the Gold Coast Suns for (currently), picks four and eight, which a Gold Coast Suns source as suggested there is "not a chance in hell" of happening.
The Giants currently have three first round picks, holding Collingwood's first round pick for Adam Treloar, Geelong's first round pick, which was on-traded by Carlton, as well as their own. Currently, they hold picks 7, 15 and 17 in the draft.
GWS is said to be incredibly keen in securing academy prospect Will Setterfield, who is likely to attract early bids from opposition teams, meaning that if they Giants traded for picks one, two or three, they would still be able to select a player they want, as well as matching any bid for Setterfield.
The Bombers would be keen on tall talent with the likes of Adam Tomlinson and James Stewart on their radar, as well as midfielder Jack Steele who the Bombers have shown interest in.
